What you will do
Luxury guided one-day tour.
This is a special tour created by an outdoor guide who knows the local area with all his heart to deliver truly inspiring scenery to guests.
First, meet your guide in Sapporo and its suburbs and head to Yoichi, the town at the base of the Shakotan Peninsula.
1. Sea kayaking
A guide who also works as a sea kayak builder will guide you.
You can see the world at 0m above sea level from a sea kayak, the endlessly clear blue of the Sea of Japan, and hundreds of meters of precipitous cliffs where you can feel the power of nature. Please feel the majestic natural scenery with your whole body, which cannot be conveyed in words or pictures.
Drop your kayak on a small sandy beach next to a small fishing port off the national highway and paddle out into the Sea of Japan.
It takes about 40 minutes one way to reach the destination beach. Cliffs well over 100m, small caves with openings here and there, shoals of small fish swimming under the kayak, etc. This course is short but full of variety. After paddling for a while, you will see a beach of white pebbles surrounded by cliffs behind you. A private beach that cannot be accessed from land. Coffee time after landing. While the guide boils the water, guests are asked to grind their own coffee beans. Please spend your own time while enjoying freshly brewed coffee. Depending on the weather conditions, you can also experience fishing from a kayak or snorkeling from the land.
2. Lunchtime
For lunch, we will guide you to a restaurant in Yoichi. Let's recharge with local seafood in preparation for the trekking after that.
3. Trekking
Trekking takes about 1 hour. It takes about 40 minutes for those with strong legs. There are some slopes that are a little steep, but you will climb step by step while basking in the sunlight filtering through the foliage and peering out at the sparkling sea surface through the trees. When you arrive at the top of the mountain, sweating lightly, you will be greeted with an indescribable view of the Sea of Japan. The experience of looking down at the surface of the sea where you were floating just now from a height of 300m is truly extraordinary. It is an experience that can only be done here.
