What you will do
This tour is a guided tour where you can enjoy the nature of Lake Shikaribetsu by sea kayak. Experienced local guides will fully support you, so anyone can enjoy the nature of Lake Shikaribetsu with peace of mind.
It is the highest natural lake in Hokkaido with a transparency of 19m. Enjoy the jade-colored nature of Lake Shikaribetsu while relaxing on a sea kayak paddle. You can observe the animals and the nature of the lakeside from the viewpoint of the lake.
[Tour Flow]
1. Check-in:
Please meet at the Nature Center 20 minutes before the tour starts and check in.
2. Move to Lake Shikaribetsu:
Wear a life jacket and move to Lake Shikaribetsu.
3. Kayak practice:
We will practice kayak adjustment, rowing, and riding on the shore of the lake.
4. Kayak across the lake:
Get on the kayak and go to the lake! Your guide will take you to the lake.
5. Return & Finish:
Manipulate the kayak and return to the starting point.
After taking off the life jacket, the tour ends.

Things to know
1. Guest requirements
-Those with a height of 140 cm or more and a weight of 120 kg or less
-Those who are under the influence of alcohol or who are pregnant cannot participate in the lesson.
-Strictly observe the check-in time 20 mins before the tour. If you are late, we will treat it as a cancellation on the day without any refund.

-Comfortable shoes with solid soles (preferably mountaineering shoes)
-Outerwear such as Rain Jacket (according to the temperature)

-Personal equipment such as household medicine
*There is no dry suit, so please participate in the clothes you came. You won't get your whole body wet, but your arms and some of your clothes may get wet. Rental of simple kappa is available.
3. Safe and Secure
We are covered by the domestic recreational insurance. Please fill in the name, address, contact phone number and date of birth of everyone in the participant list before the tour. Injuries that occur during the tour will be compensated within the scope of insurance.
4. Cancellation policy

‐2 days before the tour start time: 75%
‐On the day of the tour: 100%
-You can cancel up to 7 days in advance of the experience for a full refund.
For a full refund, you must cancel at least 7 days before the experience’s start time.
‐If you cancel less than 7 days before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
‐Any changes made less than 7 days before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
‐Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
‐This tour requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
‐This tour requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
-Please note that high waves tend to appear in September and the possibility of cancellation increases.
