What you will do
Why do not you enjoy the extraordinary nature of Hokkaido with SUP? You have a high chance of encountering seals and wild animals. Wearing a dry suit, you don't have to worry about the cold.
Drift ice can be seen floating in the Sea of Okhotsk, which is located in the northeastern part of Japan, every year. Drift ice season is from January to March, and drift ice SUP peak is from late February to the end of March. Drift ice SUP tours are held in Shiretoko, Abashiri, Monbetsu, and Tokoro.
Hokkaido is the southernmost spot in the northern hemisphere where drift ice appears. If you're lucky, you might see wildlife such as Steller's sea eagles and seals.
