Kayak tour in Lake Abashiri / Abashiri

What you will do
This is a guided half-day tour to enjoy Lake Abashiri in eastern Hokkaido and the lakeside nature on a kayak. You have the chance to see our local wildlife in Hokkaido. you can also stop for good photo shots and have a chat with your guide and fellow kayakers.

You can ride a kayak and see a great view of the national park. The sit-on kayaks are easy to use and stable, good for beginners and even children. Paddle leisurely in the quiet lake and you will meet unique wild birds such as Kingfishers, Ducks, and White-tailed Eagles. Get out of your kayak and land on the Peninsula. Explore the bush and find indigenous birds with lots of photogenic sceneries.

1. Meet up at Connectrip
2. Launch your kayak into the calm waters of Lake Abashiri
3. Paddle your way to Yobito Peninsula
4. Get out of your kayak and explore the bush at the Peninsula
5. Take a break with a cup of coffee
6. Paddle ahead in the large lake again on the return trip

Departure & Return

  -Children 10-12 yrs must be accompanied by a guardian
-No wheelchair accessible
-No recommended for pregnant travelers
-No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
-Temperature checks for travelers upon arrival required
-Self-management of your belongings
-We may cancel the tour due to the bad weather condition before the tour starts. We will let you know about the cancelation as soon as possible and don’t worry we promise you a full refund.
-This tour requires good weather. We may change the course or cancel the tour due to poor weather after the departure. In this case, we won’t refund you.

‐On the day of the tour: 100%
-You can cancel up to 7 days in advance of the experience for a full refund.
For a full refund, you must cancel at least 7 days before the experience’s start time.
‐If you cancel less than 7 days before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
‐Any changes made less than 7 days before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
‐Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
‐This tour requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
‐This tour requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
